Project Alabama and Partners, 2001

At the Chelsea Hotel show, orders are taken from a handful of buyers from around the world that include stores like Barneys NY, Barneys Tokyo, Fred Segal/Ron Herman LA, and Browns in London. Natalie returns to Lovelace Crossroads, and with a team of artisans, patternmakers, friends, and family produces the first round of Alabama collection shirts to be delivered in the late spring and summer.

An official partnership begins for Project Alabama between Paul Graves, Enrico Marone-Cinzano, and Natalie. The production deliveries sell out quickly, and a second collection of t-shirts is designed, produced, and sold over the summer. New orders are received, and the second collection of t-shirts is shipped over the summer for fall in-store deliveries.
